Finally feeling better, tough loss to Atlanta!!!

Heyyyyy woooorrrrrrlllddddddd!!!

Well, your boy D-12 is finally back after a wicked stomach bug that really wiped me out for all of last weekend. I was so sick last Friday that the team actually flew me (and MP, too) back to Orlando. We missed the games in Detroit and Milwaukee.

It was bad and when I landed in Orlando. I had to go straight to the emergency room. They put me on an IV and I had to wear two of the smaller gowns because they barely fit around my back (It was kind of cool).

I just felt bad; really bad all weekend. Thankfully I´m better now.

We lost a really tough game Monday night against Atlanta. We didn´t have any energy on either end and we were a step slow all night. It was a bad game for all of us to come back on. Atlanta is a pretty good team and our guys were out there trying to get back into game shape by playing. I think a lot of our guys were exhausted.

It was a tough one for us to lose. I´m sure it gives Atlanta a little confidence. But we´ll be sure to erase that next time we play them.

I know that some of our guys lost a lot of weight when they got sick. JJ Redick said he dropped 10 pounds and Mickael Pietrus dropped seven pounds. But I weighed in at 272 pounds. I made sure I ate a lot as of yesterday.

Sunday was the first day that I could eat. I woke up at about 1 in the morning and went to the Waffle House. That was my first meal and then I went back home and ate another meal before getting some rest. Later, I woke up and ate another meal.

On Sunday night I ate nine pieces of chicken, two pork chops, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Then, I had apple pie and ice cream for dessert. That´s a lot of food, I know, but I was just trying to get back right. I couldn´t eat before that. A lot of my time was spent going to the restroom. It´s wasn’t a good feeling at all.

We´ll be back at practice on Tuesday and Wednesday trying to get our team figured out before we head to the West Coast on Wednesday. We play Portland, Utah, the Clippers and Denver on this trip coming up, so it´s going to be a tough road for us. I´m hoping I can get my strength all the way back in time for these upcoming games. In order for us to play Magic basketball, we’re going to need everyone both ready and healthy.

Well, I´m going to break out of here and get some rest. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaahhhhhh!!!
DWIGHT
