Orlando Magic superstar center Dwight Howard has rescheduled the date and location for the Dwight Howard Basketball ProCamp presented by Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Fifth Third Bank.
Dwight’s annual camp will now be held Aug. 12 and 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for ages 7-11 and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for ages 12-18. The star-studded event will be held at the Orlando Volleyball Academy in Orlando.
The change to a later date will allow Dwight, who underwent surgery on April 20 for a herniated disc in his lower back, to attend the camp. Dwight, a six-time all-star and a five-time All-NBA selection, will be on site throughout the camp and provide instruction to the campers. He will be joined by a selection of top high school and collegiate coaches from the Orlando area throughout the camp.
The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 18 and focuses on the team concept and fundamentals of basketball. Groups will be small to ensure that each camper receives personalized instruction. Dwight will also give daily talks highlighting the finer points of the game of basketball and beyond.
Additional camp partners include the Orlando Sentinel Media Group, Southwest Orlando Bulletin, Star 94.5, Power 95.3, and WFTV Channel 9. For more information and registration, please visit www.DwightHowardCamp.com or by call 888-389-CAMP (2267).
