I gotta admit that I closed my eyes when Hedo Turkoglu got the ball and I was just praying that he made that shot at the end Sunday night. I trusted Hedo with the ball and he made an unbelievable play.
Coach Van Gundy drew up a great play. He thought about it for about a minute and I said, `Yo, coach we need a great play.’ He thought about it, thought about it and drew up a play for Turk. We all had confidence in Turk. After Dalembert had that tip-in our spirits didn’t get down. Coach drew up a great play and Turk made a great play.
You look at the numbers on the stat sheet and some of the guys who haven’t been playing so well for us had big games. We never lost faith in guys and that’s just going to build our confide nce through the rest of the series.
I’ve been telling everybody for a while now that Philly ain’t now joke. It’s been tough for us and we’ve had to fight the whole series. Philly won’t go away, but I feel good about our chances now. In Game 5, we’re going home, and we have to play with great effort and get another win.
The three days in Philadelphia were tough ones for us. My mind is always on the series – as soon as I wake up, all throughout the day and when I go to bed at night. In my downtime, when I’m not sleeping, I’m thinking about how can I score and make my free throws and about being aggressive.
My thing is the 76ers are trying to end our series, end our season and want us to go home early and I just don’t want that. Sometimes we don’t play as well as we need to, but if we’ll step it up I like our chances. We have to understand that every moment it counts.

Mr. Howard, if there was ever a more important blog comment that I wish you would read, this is it. I don’t need to praise your game so far this series, but I will. Your post moves and footwork are so much more crisp than during the season. You’re hitting your freethrows for the most part (when you hit those two freethrows at the end of game 3, I got goosebumps. People need to understand how hard you work on those because you would have missed one of them last season even though your percentages are essentially the same, in my opinion). I am not going to critique your game simply because I know you hear critiques from people who are much more qualified than I am.
What I do want to address though is that ignorant Sports Illustrated cover that you blogged about earlier. Please, just ignore. I know that you said you’re going to continue to do what you do, but I feel as if it has affected you because you are not smiling at all on the court like you used to. I want you to play mean and serious as much as the next guy, but I still love the Dwight that looks at his left hand in complete awe as if to say “WAS THAT LEFTY?!?” after he hits that amazing hook sweeping across the paint. I love the Dwight that after flushing it powerfully with two hands, you pause, knees slightly bent from landing, staring at the crowd with that “DID YALL JUST SEE THAT” look. DO YOU Dwight, because you’re great at it. Phillippians 4:4 ; I think that’s the reason you always smile. Note that the verse does NOT say “only during the regular season”, but it clearly states “always”.

Dwight I think at this point in the series you and your team know what needs to be done to win these last 3 games. People can give all the advice they want but when it comes down to it, the Magic has to play their best game to get the win. With Philly being the underdog, you know they want to shock the world and send the Magic home. Just do your best and you’ll get the win.
