When I woke up this morning the song on the radio was Ice Cube’s “A Good Day.’’ Let’s hope that’s the case.
We have a big one tonight, a must-win against the Celtics so that we can force a Game 7 up back up in Boston . I still think we have the better team and we’re going to win this series. I have complete faith in my team that we will come out tonight and play a great game.
As for my mindset going into this game, I have to have my focus on defense and rebounding because that’s what my team needs from me to be successful. It’s not about touches or shots or anything like that. I care about winning, and I have to be an enforcer in the paint for us to win ball games. We won 59 games during the regular season because I had my focus on defense and rebounding. If we defend tonight, I really think we’ll win this game.
We’ve suffered a couple of really tough losses in these last two games, but we’re not dead yet. When you think about it, we finished the game really well at the end of Game 4, but Baby made that jumper at the buzzer. We actually played really good most of the game Tuesday in Boston, but we just didn’t close it out.
So we’ve proven in just about every game that we’re as good or better than the Celtics, but we just have to come out and play a full 48 minutes. We do that tonight I think it will be a good day for us.
