Whew!!!!!! Are ya’ll as exhausted as I am after that killer game? That was a gut-check of all gut-check games for us and the Magic came through again? What are they gonna say now?
We’re so, so close to playing for that championship in the Finals, but now is no time to celebrate because really we haven’t done anything yet. We’ve won three games, but you don’t get anything for that. If you think winning last night was hard, t rying to close out the Cavs at The Q will be super hard and we know it. That’s a good team that won 66 games and they aren’t going down without a fight.
Speaking of fighting, how about those tackles that Varejao put on me a couple of times during the game??? And I’m the one who gets the technical foul!!!! I was just playing with emotion. You get in the game and you score a big bucket, you let your emotions take over. I wasn’t taunting Varejao or anything. My thing was, it was a tough play, he grabbed me around the neck and I made the shot, so hopefully they will look at it.
And on that final lob play, he rode me out of bounds, but there was nothing called. I just feel like if that had been a certain guy on the other team, the whistle would have been blowing.
This thing with the T’s is bugging me pretty bad right no w, but I can’t let it take me away from my focus on helping us get the job done. I can’t believe that I’ve had six of them called on me so far, and some of them have just been crazy. I’m not a dirty player, I don’t talk a lot of trash and I don’t curse the officials, so I can’t figure out why I keep getting them again and again.
Hopefully, the league office will look at this one and realize it was just the heat of the game. There was no taunting. I’ve already had to miss one game because of my elbows, and I made a promise to myself that I’d never have that happen again with my elbows. The thought of me having to miss another game is killing me, so I’ve got to keep my mouth shut and my elbows down.
We’re getting contributions from so many guys now – Shard, Turk, MP, C-Lee and my man Skip to My Lou. That wasn’t Rafer Alston out there tonight, that was professional street baler, Skip To My Lou!!!!
We just feel like when we’re playing like we did last night, getting help from everybody, moving the ball, running and playing defense, that we can beat anybody.
We’ve got to close this baby out now. It won’t be easy, but we feel we can get it done against anybody if we just play our game.
I’ll be ready and my guys will be ready, so let’s go do this.

Howard complaining about fouls is a joke. His only move is to elbow his defender out of the way, then dunk. The call on Lebron was quite iffy, but Dwight should be careful complaining. He should’ve been called for the foul on the lob grabbing Andy’s arm and whining when he didn’t get the call. He also got away with grabbing ben wallace on Lewis’ three pointer.
I think you should put on your Superman suit and FOCUS!

I’m from Europe but I used to be a big NBA fan back when Jordan, Pippen and and Kukoc played for the Bulls. I’d wake up in the middle of the night to watch the games, I even went to Chicago to see Bulls vs Lakers live. Loved it.
Around the time when Jordan quit I gradually stopped watching, i’d watch the 7th game of the finals. Maybe. Until you guys came along.
I don’t dislike the Cavs, as I don’t dislike the Lakers, but I just love Orlando. You guys are showing what it means to be a team and you Mr Howard are showing what it means to be a leader. No messianic pretentiousness on your part. Respect. It is, after all, a game.
I know it’s not going to be easy but if anyone deserved to win the finals in the past couple of decades of NBA it’s Orlando Magic.

Loved the game. I felt like I was holding my breath through the 4th and OT. It was by far the best playoff game this season.
As for the Tech. foul, we all know it was a rediculous call (Whether your a Magic fan, Cav fan, or whoever), but let the NBA review its mistake and reverse its call. Whining doesn’t help, and I know at heart you aren’t a whiner.
You guys have what it takes to beat the Cavs tomm, and to win the Championship. I’ve been a Magic fan since I was 7yrs old. And this is by far the best Magic team I have ever seen.

Oh Dear…where to start??? I am so sick of these ref’s pulling this nonesense!!! The face you made is identical to LeBron’s after every dunk he manages! What is gonna give? Is the league gonna be fair to you in the eyes of the public and ENTIRE media, whom, by the way, called the ref’s out today in regard to this bogus Technical along with slamming them for the bad calls and no calls on or for the Magic. They were saying the ref’s are trying to give “King” (LOL, that should be replaced with prince…a new King has been crowned!!) a free ticket into the final’s. I am a Heat fan but also like the Magic since I’m a Florida guy my whole life. I really like your game, you are a pleasure to watch cuz I can’t stand layups. When you’re in the paint, SLAM IT DOWN! You do that like not many others can. POWER DUNKS too, none of that sissy stuff. I am about ready to break my damned TV remote throwing it at the screen with these STUPID ASS OFFICIALS! It’s especially bad in your series but really for the whole playoffs this year. Some of the worst officiating I have seen. Phantom calls, favoritism, etc. etc. I do like Lebron and the Cavs but you guys are definitely a great T-E-A-M. You have so many guys who can knock down the threes. My next favorite thing behind a dunk is a 3. You guys light that s**t up with the 3’s and I’m lovin’ it. Magic D has been impressive too but one thing that is maddening me to no end – giving up leads. Turk turns that damned ball over stupidly too! Don’t let him handle that thing too long later in games, he bobbles it on over to the other team. He needs to improve early shooting too (as he did last night) on a consistent basis. Giving up leads is horrible though. One second I’m checking out an 8 point lead, take a sip of Mojito and look back at the screen and BAM! The Cavs are up 1. What the heck?!?!? Other than that thought I gotta hand it to you guys. You guys are manning up and taking it to the mighty Cavs. Get em big D and DEFINITELY continue to dominate. Hell with those officials. I must say, I have never been an Orlando Magic fan. I really cant say that I have ever really been a fan of ANY Team except the Bulls (and no, it wasnt a band-wagon thing). I lived in Youngstown OH for 4 years and I went to the first game that Lebron played professionally. This series, I have been rooting for Orlando on EAST and Denver on WEST simply because I like the old saying “MAY THE BEST MAN WIN” or in this case “MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN” and everyone has been all HYPED over the LEBRON/KOBE match up…I think it is disrespectful not only to ORLANDO and DENVER, but even to the other players on those two teams. Since watching this series (and going against the grain), I have become a DWIGHT HOWARD & ORLANDO MAGIC supporter. KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR ARE DOING and you will KEEP GETTING WHAT YOU ARE GETTING!!! That was a helluva game last night! I thought that tech they called on you was bogus as hell too! If the refs are calling techs for having emotion then everybody should have at least 5 or 6!! But its going to be tough to close the Cavs out at home, but if you guys were able to do it in Boston, on the road, game 7 then I think it can be done in Cleveland! I am so glad that you only have 5 technical fouls now. I totally agree that you were just showing emotion because I never see you taunt and I like it when you show emotion after an amazing play like that because you barely do that either. I also TOTALLY agree that if you had been “a certain guy on the other team” when Varejao fell all over you, they would have called a foul before you even hit the ground. You can’t even breathe in the direction of the certain guy on the other team (Lebron lol) w/o the refs calling a foul…but what can you do but stay focused and play your game.

Hey Dwight, congrats on making the NBA Finals! Too bad your matched up against my Lakers so I’ll be rooting for that team. I’m leaving a message because I absolutely feel that the Refs suck and get a urge to be in control when they call a bunch of unnecessary technical fouls.
I think the technical fouls has been the biggest story this post season, beyond Kobe, beyond Lebron, beyond you and the Magic making the FInals. I’m glad the finals will be played against the Magic.
Your team has been put through more adversity this season and deserve to be in this position at a chance for glory. Plus, I honestly think neither the Cavs nor Celtics would have been a challenge, instead, protected by the league with insane calls that would have dragged the series on.
With this Lakers and Magic match up, I can expect a good clean aggressive series! May the best team win and don’t pick up any more T’s!
