I believe that it is really important to interact with fans. Even when I’m preparing for a big game, I always make sure to stop and sign autographs and take photos when I can.
Before game 2, I had a funny moment with a Lakers fan who said he liked me, but wanted us to lose. With a little convincing, I was able to get him to say “Go Magic”.
I also got a chance to meet American Idol winner Kris Allen. He sang the National Anthem before game 2. Check out the video below.

let me say this again AS YU CAN SEE D-HOWARD ORLANDO WILL KEEP BELIEVING IN ORLANDO MAGIC BASKETBALL……………..LETS GO LETS TAKE THIS CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ENTIRE ORLANDO COMMUNITY BELIEVES IN YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND FOR THE PEOPLE THAT ARE GOING TO TOMORROWS GAME CHEER THE MAGIC LIKE NEVER BEFORE PLEASEEEEEEEEEE I COULDNT GET TICKETS EVEN THOUGH I WAS ONE THE FIRST TEN THERE BECAUSE I CAMPED OUT THERE BUT THE LOTTERY SCREW ME OVER BUT I AM STILL 10000% A MAGIC BELIEVER AND OBIOUSLY A FAN GOMAGICCCCCC LETS GO D-HOWARD….BE A BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what did your parents always teach you, if you don’t have nothing nice to say don’t say nothing at all. Dude that guy was rude… Anyways… I still have faith in my team we can do this. Who said it was going to be easy. Love you guys, i know you can do it.. keep your eyes on that championship, stay focused… God Bless each and everyone of you. I will keep praying for a victory..
I mean i get what the guy was saying… come on who wouldn’t like Dwight he is amazing… I always was a Laker fan but honestly Dwight doesn’t have to personally talk to me to get me to say Go Magic… that’s my team in the West. But i wish Dwight and Magics ALL the LUCK… Because Dwight knows that it’s through Christ that strengthen him… if this championship is for them no matter what people think they got it…. I know i will still love you and your team regardless… You guys made everyone stand up and take notice this year… so with all the Said LET”S GO MAGIC kill them in Orlando.
You are definately an awesome guy Dwight on and off the court….Even though you guys didn’t win, I still loved what I saw last night….The game plan was awesome…The Lakers unlike Cleveland, have decided to double team you 100% of the time…That’s fine, just continue to pass out of it to one of your spectacular shooters or draw the foul…Make the Lakers pay for their defensive game plan…..
I thought Stan DA Man made a brillaint decision playing J.J. Reddick…Having more shooters on The floor helps to create good spacing and helps to make the Lakers pay even more for double teaming you…Just keep the passing lanes open and continue to pass well to your shooeters…..All you guys have to do is continue be aggressive, MAKE SHOTS..LOL and most importantly believe you can BEAT L.A.!!.LOL
So remember to keep your heads up because you can win this series..With your dominance in the paint and when the team is shooting a little above average…Nobody can beat yall!!!!…Yall should’ve won last night…there were just a few critical mistakes and missed shots by some of the more inexperienced guys….I do believe once everybody realizes that you guys can win the series…Orlando will bring home its’ first title, along with many more to come….Let’s win this series!!!!..one game at a time!!!!
You are AMAZZINNGG!!!!! No matter what happens you guys are an incredible team and have done awesome throughout the season!! I have faith in you guys and believe y’all are going to come back and crush the Lakers (Kobe) Haha I’ll be there Thursday cheering you on baby! GO MAGIC!!!!!!!!

Hahaha…that was a cool fan; very classy; way to make it fun D-12!
I believe in Orlando, let’s rock
Hi Dwight,
I know you’re a man of faith, and I also believe that you have the heart of a winner. LA fought really heard because they know they could lose here in Orlando, so they needed to keep home court advantage. So Be it, defend your homecourt as well and say “not in my home” and win three straight. If you miss a shot, take another from a different angle, maybe even take it all the way to the basket, and even if you miss it again get a block; don’t be hard on yourself; this is your Home now; if their guys are big, then they must be slow, and if they are fast, then they must rush and miss points because you’ll get rebounds, and above all you have more than one way to score; they cannot figure you out! A winner always finds away to get through: Michael Jordan once said “If you find an obstacle jump over it, if not go around it, and if not go through it” So you get the point how to take care of those big guys; it’s simple–just by being greater by having the heart of a winner. Even if it means playing a basket to a basket through the end, a winner never gives up; forget how they play you; make your shots and encourage all the team to be 100%. If there is any team in the NBA that can be that accurate, it’s you guys, especially here In Orlando; there are 3 words to get the championship: WIN, WIN, & WIN–It’s all possible if you simply play with the heart of a winner; forget what anybody says; listen only to your heart, and believe that as you limp your way at the end of the game, you will know One thing–you knew all along that you will WIN tonight and every time. The one magical word would then Be “DOMINATE” and here is a definition of the word: 1/ Control every pass, no turnovers, 2/ Defend every ball and rebound, 3/ score at every shot, 4/ Stay Consistent, and last 5/ Play this game as if it is your last–as if your own life depends on it, a win or your life (Remember Kobe harsh looks after making baskets; it’s your turn now–deny them any win here; it’s your Home and you’re a soldier and a fighter till the end) God bless you always and remember that a winner always says, ‘for as long as I can breath, I will always reach, for I will win at the end’ So have Fun, play Hard, and Win it all.
A MAGIC FAN since 1994
Aby
Dwight, Dont let the losses get you down! You are the best Big man in the game, and people will always try to bring you down, but with faith, nothing can stop you. God will never fail you. You are a dynamic example to my son, who wants to be on the floor that you are on, and God willing, lots of work and faith he will get there too. but You have given him the courage to be a leader not a follower, and for that I thank you. That means more than any trophy to me. and to all the Kids who look up to you, all of us who respect you, and cherish the laughs and the bright spots that you bring to our mundane lives, we the fans thank you. Remember, its not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game!
Tina

Beat L.A !!!
I believe you can!!
I loove you Dwight i’m rooting for you!
:):)
Dwight – I’ve got you, the team and the coaches covered in prayer. That the Holy Spirit will take over the court on your behalf (The Magic) and that the Anointing of the LorD will fall on each of you and show you favor.
GoD is removing the obstacle; will sit it down and put it under subjection!
Praying without Ceasing!
ALL PEACE!

You’re a joy to watch, Dwight; and we love all the Magic players. We’ve been fans for years, even though we’ve lived in Denver now since 1997.
We are SO pulling for the Magic to upset LA in this series. The sports writers would lose their minds!

Hi from Siberia! You have a fans not only in LA
GO MAGIC!!!
I’m cheering for you Dwight, I look forward to seeing a win this evening. Let your faith shine through and forget all the rest.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beat them I’m so sick of the comments cocky Laker fans are making. Everyone is saw anti-Magic. I’m not jumping on that LA bandwagon. EAST all the way.
The summit is still in sight. . .it was just temporarily obscured by a little of that infamous L.A. smog. It’s soooooo on tonight. Best wishes to you and the team–we’re with you every minute. LET’S GO MAGIC!!!!
Howard, u know what, I’m ‘watching’ ur game with Lakers (the third game) right now. Coz I’m from Shanghai,China, it’s our morning now,I have to work..(so I can just check ur points from website, just literally ‘watching’)(Hope u can understand what I said)
My MSN name today is I believe in Magic! I believe u guys will win, win the game , win the honor. whatever the result is, I think I will support Magic..(even though I like Kobe as well…)
luv u guys!!Cheers!!!
BTW,I forgot to mention one thing. Last time Magic vs Celtics, although everyone thinks Celtics may win, I bet with my boss on Magic win! Then my boss lost! He has to treat me a dinner in a fancy restaurant!!!
Currently, Magic is 1 point behind Laker and the second session(not sure if this is called session) is not over yet. I believe u guys, believe in Magic.
Yes Dwight I see you out there boy!!! Keep diving right to the rim they have no answer for you play like a man and they won’t be able to stop you!!!
SWEET WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
MAGIC ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I can say is Thank you. I watched, we won, it feels great. The power of prayer is real and proven. Alright Dwight, 1 down 3 more to go!!!!!!
Good job on the freethrowline
Yesss!! You guys pulled out a win!! Congratulations, Dwight! You guys did it!
This is a playoff of making NBA history. Let’s count em up, allright? Bulls vs Celtics, most overtimes in a series at seven OT’s. Magic vs Celtics, Magic win game 7 on the Celtics’ floor, becoming the first team in history to beat the defending champs on their home floor while they were up 3-2. You guys had 75% on your field goals at the start of this game, another groundbreaking statistic. And ooh…having trouble remembering that last one, oh yeah, you guys gave Orlando its first ever Finals victory!! Honesty does force me to admit…you know what? We won, let’s be happy. We still have our work cut out for us, but we have a chance, and we’ve shown the world what the Magic can really do.
I will note that Kobe Bryant seemed to be crumbling alittle in this game after we hit the halfway point.
The Lakers are tough opponents. They’ll be looking for a way to improve their game. They’ll try to find a way to keep their coverage on you, Dwight, and they’ll be looking for a way to shut down your kickouts. They’ll try to stop the passes from getting to you. On defense, you guys have to work on not going for Kobe’s pumpfakes. You…okay, I’m having some trouble remembering everything, but luckily it’s not really my job to give you guys playing advice, though I do want to help however I can.
You know, the commentators mentioned several times that when you’re in deep in the post, you don’t have to bring the ball down. You can put it right in the basket. Watch some tapes of Gasol when he’s deep in the post. He’s just putting it up. The commentators said that’s an easy thing you can do to get some baskets.
Great job, guys. You played a scintillating game, and showed the resillience of the Magic. All of you should be proud.
You know they think they have this series. Especially with Kobe’s arrogant attitude. Yall put a foot in that a## last night. I went to sleep the 3 rd quarter knowing that you guys were gonna win. I woke up this morning to a solid victory. Containing Kobe is the key. He scored very little last night. How about someone man to man on him? That is alot to ask but, if you got someone quick and good defense it would work. Ya know you gotta watch those fakes as well. Anyway good game look forward to the next one. LOL
Please win the next game for your biggest Fan.. Jalen Enoch. If you could mention his name we would be so,so greatful.

Hey Dwight!
First of all I want to say that your an amazing guy and I respect your Christian testimony. I play at a Christian school in Clermont and we have an interesting situation. Since our team began three years ago we’ve been practicing on a asphalt court and have even used it for a few games as a home court (we usually play away)
My team was horrible when it began but we’ve done a lot of practicing and we’re beating teams that were creaming us when we started. The only problem is that my school is having to move because of the economy and the new school doesn’t have a nice outdoor court. I was just wondering if there’s any chance that you can help our team out. If you can my cell is 321-946-1278 and my email is taitorman@aol.com. thanks.
Good Luck in the Finals. I believe that y’all are gonna win it Superman!!!!
Heaven’s Yeah! that was a terrific game yall played. keep it up. am a football fan, but have seen the last 2 play off games and yall won my heart when u guyz beat celtics from a 3-2 deficit, and from your attitude and smile. (not to mention yall brought me lots of money from betting for yall:D) keep it up howard, i have decided to become an orlando fan and start following you guyz next regular season. no one can compare to the way u guyz play, DOMINATE!!!
You are certainly a good role model for today’s young people; You
handle both your trials and triumphs with grace and class. It is
obvious that you are very talented but I can discern that you also
have a great attitude and work ethic. You handle the giants in
your life as if they were grasshoppers. As Winston Churchill said
Never/Never/Never give up.
I am definitely pulling for your team to win! Continue to let
your witness in the nba and the world be positive. You have
certainly the It factor.
