Heyyyyyyy world, what’s up with everybody out there??? We got one of those ugly W’s last night against Charlotte, but we’re still getting guys back from injuries and sickness and suspension, so it’s kind of a slow process right now. But it will come for us as long as we keep our focus on defense and doing the little things. I just have to keep telling myself that it’s early and it’s a LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG season.
When I’m out and about a lot of people always ask me what I would have been if I wasn’t a basketball player. I’m not sure many people know it or not but when I was a kid I always dreamed of being a pro boxer. Well, that was one of the things that I wanted to be, including playing in the NBA of course.
Once I got in the NBA, I boxed for a couple of summers because it’s such good training for your body. It’s so much fun. But the last few years with the Olympics and stuff, it’s been hard to get back in the gym. But let me tell you, boxing is such a great workout. It helped my quickness, toughness and coordination.
Of late, I’ve really gotten into UFC and watching those episodes that they show on Spike TV. I really like Rampage and Rashad Evans a lot. I’d have to say those are my two favorite guys on Ultimate Fighting. I watch so much UFC in my down time.
The one boxer I really like the most is Floyd Mayweather. Me and him talk occasionally and have become pretty good friends.
We get all of the pay-per-view fights at the house and watch them when they’re going on. And when my man, Mayweather, is in the ring I’m so into those fights.
I just really like Mayweather’s swag. He’s over the top sometimes, but that kid can back it up. He’ll talk about what he’s going to do, but then he’s in the gym training. No boxer out there trains as hard as he does. He really is a student of boxing and he’s such a competitor.
I think Mayweather is the only guy out there who could beat Manny Pacquiao. We watched Pacquiao beat up on Cotto this past Saturday night. Pacquio is an absolute beast. He’s so quick and throws those punches in bunches (hey that rhymes!!!) and he’s tough. He’s throwing those combos from all different angles and that just makes him tough to defend. Cotto tried to stay in there, but he didn’t know where the punches were coming from.
Hopefully someday we’ll get to see Pacquiao and Mayweather because that would be an incredible fight. That’s the fight that I really want to see someday.
Well, I’m out for now. Hope ya’ll’s week’s is going good. Holler back at ya boy!!!

I just heard that the all-star ballots came out today. VC, ‘Shard, Jameer and me are on there this year for the Magic. I hope that you guys can help me get back to the all-star game again. I’ve been there three times already and I want to be in that game in Texas this year where the Cowboys play. That stadium looks incredible. I can’t believe they are gonna put a B-ball game in there.
