Heeeyyy Woorrld. How y’all doing? I’m out here in Dallas enjoying All-Star weekend. It’s cold and snowing, but we are making the best of it.
Earlier today I had an event with McDonald’s where I showed everyone how I eat my chicken McNuggets. I also got to take orders and make some french fries. It was a lot of fun. I’ll have some video and of the event for y’all later.
If you missed me today, I’m making two more public appearances tomorrow. The first one will be at the NBA Jam session tomorrow at 9:15 A.M. The Jam Session is at the Dallas Convention Center. I’ll be there with my boy D-Wade, so make sure to come through.
If you can’t make that one, I’m also gonna be at the Parks at Arlington Mall Foot Locker for the release of my new adidas Supernatural Commander shoes. I’ll be there from 2-3 PM signing autographs, so come through and see ya boy.

Please consider sponsoring basketball camps for girls as well in Georgia. I am aware of your camp for boys but girls need some of that special attention. Georgia Girls play hard and are very skilled. My daughter is 10 and has been playing for 5 years. She could use that little extra training that your camp provides.

heyyy dwight its ya girl quala from db i just wanted to tell you that i just went and seen the movie valentine’s day and it was a great romance movie funny and whitty…. but i did not see you at anytime during the movie so i was just wondering what was up with that i mean that is the movie you said you were in right??? i did not move from my seat the entire time and yes i was there on time so thats why i am soooo confused what happened let me know i was really looking forward to seeing you up on that big screen boo, really bc you said check it out was the absolute only reason i went so you can understand my saddness

I am emailing this to just let you know that I saw you this weekend and I was impressed. I have to be honest. I like basketball and watch it every now and then, but that is not what impressed me. You appear to be a very sincere and genuine person. All the muscles, beautiful teeth, and super tall height is just an added bonus to who you are inside. You just seem real. I must say I am not this huge fan. Yes, I have heard of your name and all the hype, but seeing you in person made me want to know who you really are. I am not interested in the Dwight the bball player, but what your likes and dislikes are, whats your favorite movie, what is your religion, did you wear gangsta reeboks when you were younger..lol. I am absolutely sure you get tons of emails and fan mail so I totally understand that I may not get a response, but I just had to let you know how impressed I was with you and your mannerism this weekend. Hey Dwight, just wanted to share what ESPNs Bill Simmons said about you. Use it how you will (motivation or whatever). But I agree that the team performs better with you as the epicentre of the offense. Demand that ball Dwight! This is your team! Lead us to victory baby!!
Bill Simmons:
Fact: Howard has played every game this season.
Fact: A whopping 75 players have attempted more field goals than he has, including Jason Thompson, John Salmons, Danilo Gallinari, Luis Scola, Carl Landry, Raymond Felton, Andrew Bynum, Jamal Crawford and Kenyon Martin.
Fact: He’s 109th in the league in field goal attempts per game, tied with Ryan Gomes at 9.6. Ryan Gomes!
Fact: Teammates Vince Carter (14.9), Rashard Lewis (11.9) and Jameer Nelson (10.3) all average more field goals attempts than he does.
Fact: He leads the league in free throw attempts (10.4 per game), so realistically, that means Howard is getting about 14-15 scoring touches per game. Not even four a quarter.
My take: He’s too nice of a guy. It’s both the best and worst thing about him. If you ever played basketball, you know there’s one rule with big guys: Make sure they touch the ball enough. If they don’t get enough touches, they get cranky. They stop running the floor. They stop setting good picks. They stop crashing the boards. Big guys are like women — they need affection, they need to be stroked every so often, and if you ignore them, they start to resent you.
In Howard’s case, nobody in Orlando has to worry about keeping him happy. He’s always happy! He’s a good soldier. In a roundabout way, he’s avoiding the responsibility of carrying an offense every night. This is easier. He gets to run around, jump over guys, ram some dunks home, block some shots, flex his muscles, smile to the crowd and concentrate on his strengths. Of course, he will never, ever, ever get better this way, and if you look closely at his stats these past three years, he is what he is: 18-19 points, 13-14 rebounds, 3 blocks, 60 percent shooting. Alpha dog pedigree, sidekick mindset. Too bad.
