Heeeeyyyy wooorrrlllddd! Hope you all are having a GREAT day!
Y’all know that one of my favorite basketball memories was participating in the McDonald’s All-American game in 2004. That was the year Candace Parker beat all the guys in the Slam Dunk Contest. She became a BIG star after that.
Since that time, I’ve built a solid relationship with McDonald’s and am now a member of the McDonald’s All-American Advisory Council. Well, I just wanted to let you all know that the players have been selected and the rosters are now out. These teams are packed with talent. You can check out the rosters at http://mcdonaldsallamerican.com.
I personally can’t wait to see this year’s game. I always look forward to watching the next generation of basketball stars face off on the court. You never know…the next Dwight Howard or Candace Parker could be playing in this year’s game.
What are some of your favorite McDonald’s All-American Game memories? Let me know in the comments section.

Remember your faith.
I haven’t watched it but my daughter is a freshman in high school and plays basketball.I’m sure I will eventually become familiar with it.She loves basketball and wants to be in the WNBA.She is only five six but hey who knows.
Dwight..hope you can come to China quickly…

I remember that 2004 game because of Candace. She accomplished what most female ballers like myself wanted to accomplish, which is to win a dunk contest. Why weren’t you in the dunk contest back then?
Other than that, my most memorable moment of the mcdonald’s all-american game is, I hate to say it but it was the first time I ever saw Shaquille O’neal play basketball. He was so dominant I remember saying to myself that I have to remember that odd name because he was going to be a great basketball player.
I started to dislike Shaq’s behavior when he played in Orlando. He’s verbally attacked Penny, Kobe, the Sacramento Kings and Ben Wallace, just to name a few. You’d think someone in his camp would care enough to pull him to the side and tell him that this is not a good look, but I digress.
You are doing a lot of wonderful things Dwight and staying very active in your effort to promote the advancement of future superstars and I applaud you for that, but I have to be honest I have not seen a McDonalds All Star Game ever. It not that I dont want to watch, but I kind of focus where God puts my attention and right now It’s not there for me. I have such a busy life with work and all of the other important people who need my attention, so I kind of have to find peace and enjoyment in the things I like to do while still focusing on my future, but I’m looking forward to seeing more NBA games with you leading the way for the win. Go for it!
