Hanging with my man C-Booz

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Heyyyyyy worrrrld!!! Good, good win for us last night against Utah because I really look at them as one of the toughest teams in the league. Those guys get layups, pass the ball well and play really tough. But we were able to grind it out by getting a lot of contributions on offense and we played good strong defense.

With Utah in town, I got to hang out with my man, Carlos Boozer, for a little while. That guy is like my big brother and my closest friend not on the Magic. It really meant a lot to me last season in the playoffs when he was in Orlando, pulling hard for us in the playoffs against Cleveland and the Lakers. That’s my guy, C-Booz. He was at my house almost every night and I had my chef cooking us up some grub while we talked about basketball.

We became really tight back in the Olympics in China working out every day on the court and hanging together along with Chris Bosh off the court. We went at each other every day and made each other better by getting our work in.

Those guys are like my brothers and if I’m ever having a problem with anything I can hit them up for advice. It’s good to have friends like that who are a little older because they have been through some of the stuff that I haven’t experienced yet.

When Booz came to the house on Sunday, we hung out and watched a lot of the NFL games on TV. Of course, everybody was asking me if we talked about playing together since he’s going to be a free agent this summer. Of course, that would be a dream come true for both of us, but we’ll have to see what happens. Booz will have to make a decision on his own and do what’s best for him and his family. That has to come first in any decision.

We were playing a little game, talking about which other NBA great player we’d most like to play with. We were throwing out all the names like Kobe and LeBron and D-Wade and Joe Johnson. For me, I gotta say D-Wade because he’s just a really good dude and I think we’d fit well together with him on the outside and me on the inside.

Who knows if any of us will ever get a chance to play together, but I can at least think about what it would be like. It would be cool to be on the same team with one of those guys like Booz who is one of my best friends.

We’ll just have to see what happens in the future. It should be interesting.

Ya’ll be good. Hit me back on here, twitter, facebook, or Superfan. I’m singing outta here!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Heyyyyy World!!! We had a really tough game last night against Miami and tonight we’re back in the A-T-L to face the Hawks. It’s kind of messed up because we’re on a back to back and the Hawks have had four days off before playing us.

But I don’t even care because I like playing on the holidays. When you think about it, they only pick the best teams to play on TV on the holidays. So the fact that we’re playing on Thanksgiving and again on Christmas in a few weeks is OK with me because that’s a sign of respect for our team.

It’s actually good because I’ll be back at the crib in Hot-lanta today with my family, eating some good Southern food for Thanksgiving. Ya’ll may not know it or not but my mama’s chit’lins are one of my favorites to eat for Thanksgiving. Chit’lins are what have made my muscles as big and sexy as they are now.

But I can’t eat too much with a game later in the night. This is a business trip and not a homecoming. We really need this one, especially after the way we lost to Miami. I can’t believe we let them get those two offensive rebounds down the stretch, especially one off an airball!!!

Playing Miami, I got to see my boy, D-Wade. If there’s anybody in the NBA not on my team that I’d like to play with it would be him. We’ve talked about it some at the Olympics a couple of years ago and over the summer when we were shooting our movie together.

We both really love our own teams and teammates, but it is something that we’ve dreamed about. He’ll be a free agent this summer, along with Bron and C-Bosh, so I’ll be right there with everybody trying to see where they all wind up. It’s going to be really interesting to see. Maybe they can all come to O-town and we can build a dynasty. Now that would shock the world, huh!!!!

We’ll, ya’ll have a good Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for, on and off the court, and I’m thankful that you guys are always here to support me. Peace out.

We’re 3-0!!!!

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Hey, worrrrllllllldddd!!!! What up, what up???

We’re 3-0 already, so hopefully everybody out there sees how hungry and talented we are. I’m really not that surprised that we’ve gotten off to a fast start and gelled so quickly. We are together because everybody in our locker room knows that we have just one goal … get that championship!!! There are no other agendas, no other goals. It’s all about that ‘ship this season.

We played like a team on Sunday, getting contributions from everybody to make up for not having some guys. VC couldn’t go with his ankle, MP was sick and ‘Shard is still out, but other guys picked up the slack.

‘Meer showed everybody that his shoulder is fine and JJ and Ryan Anderson, aka “The Black Horse,’’ were stroking the ball from the outside.

Ya’ll prolly saw me and my man, Chris Bosh, get tangled up there in the third quarter. I try not to react to those things and retaliate, but sometimes it’s hard when I have guys hanging on me and hacking me.

I had a real scare there in the first half when I had my arm pulled back and my shoulder was on fire. We did some stretches at halftime and I was able to get back in there in the second half. It’s sore already even after I put ice on it after the game, but I’ll be fine. Ya’ll know I got some big shoulders.

Well, we’re off to Detroit for a game on Tuesday. We’re gonna try to get all three on this trip and push it to 4-0 on the season. We’re trying to go out and make a statement every game this season – believe that!!!!

I’m gonna get outta here. Holla back at yo’ boy.

Get Ready For My Smartphone App

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Heyyyyyy ya’ll. Well, I’ve filmed a couple of movies, I’ve been on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and I’m in ESPN Magazine this month flexing my Superman muscles.

But this might be the coolest thing yet: I’m getting my own smart phone app. It’s still a couple of months away from being ready, but I’m so excited and can’t wait. The designers are working out all of the details now, but I can promise you that it’s going to be fly.

Ya’ll know I’m kind of a techie and I like playing with all of my gadgets. I’m on Twitter and Facebook all the time – so much so that I carry two phones around with me all the time. Did ya’ll know my Blackberry is trimmed out in blue, red and yellow Superman colors? It’s really, really tight.

I got the idea for my app from my boy, Chris Bosh. We were together last summer in China at the Olympics and again this summer in South Africa for the Basketball Without Borders. We always hang out the night before our games against one another and the loser from the game before has to buy dinner. Needless to say, your boy is usually eating free and I got a big appetite.

C-Bosh created his own app. He’s got his Twitter on there, Facebook, pics, season stats and CBTV. It’s a cool idea and I’m hoping that when they get finished with my app it will look a lot like his.

When my app comes out hopefully it will allow me to interact with you guys, my fans, easier. I’ll be able to update that pretty regularly and let you guys know what I’m up to. I’ll also have some fun stuff and exclusive deals just for my fans from all of my endorsement partners (EA Sports, Warner Bros/DC Comics, adidas, McDonald’s, T-Mobile, Kellogs, SuperFan, etc.) on the app.

Alright now. Ya’ll be cool. Yuuuuuaaaaa!!!!

a craaaa-zzzzzy summer

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Yo, hey world! I’m having a craaaaaaaa-zzzzzy summer, but a great one too. It’s been a blast traveling all around and interacting with my fans out there. You guys are what makes being a basketball player so great, and I’ve tried to show some love to my fans this summer by getting out in camps and seeing all my lil’ homies out there.

I’ve been criss-crossing the country several times with all of the projects I have going on. I’m going to be in two movies, I’ve tried out NBA Live 10 (it’s so sick, ya’ll) and I got to be on TV with Jimmy Fallon. And ya’ll gotta see my SportsCenter and new adidas commercials that I have coming out in the next few months. They are tight.

Now, I’m about to go international. I’m heading to Asia for a couple of weeks, starting off in Shanghai. I haven’t been back over there since last year when the Magic went over there for three exhibition games. It should be a lot of fun.

Then, on August 31 I leave for Africa along with my boys, C-Booz and C-Bosh, for the Basketball Without Borders camps. The three of us hung out together every day in China last year in the Olympics, so it will be nice being with those guys again.

Some folks in Orlando are concerned that I’m not working enough on basketball while I’m doing all of this traveling, but yall have nothing to worry about. Everywhere I go my two trainers go with me. Just last week, we were going through workout sessions at 5:30 in the morning and again in the afternoon. We usually spend 90 minutes a day in the weight room and 90 minutes on the court. Trust me, I’m working harder this summer than I’ve ever worked in my life.

Getting to the NBA Finals just made me hungrier than I’ve ever been. I know I have to come back better next season for us to get that ‘ship. I want it really, really, really bad. So ya’ll aint got to worry about me getting my work in. Your boy is getting better, believe that!!!!!

I’m out, yall. My sked is crazy, but I’ll holla at ya later.
