Dwight Howard, Magic Roll Past Bucks

Orlando , FL (Sports Network) - Dwight Howard had 19 points and 14 rebounds to help lead Orlando past Milwaukee , 108-93, at the TD WaterHouse Centre.

Steve Francis added a game-high 21 points and six assists for the Magic, who broke a four-game losing streak. Grant Hill chipped in with 20 while Hedo Turkoglu had 14 off the bench for Orlando .

"It feels good to win, especially at home," Francis said. "Fans deserve it, especially around the holidays. I thought the last couple of days, our practices have been good. our guys were real focused and we came out and exceuted tonight."

T.J. Ford led the Bucks, who lost for the first time in three games, with 19 points and nine rebounds. Michael Redd poured in 17 for Milwaukee while Jamaal Magloire had 14 points and nine rebounds.

"We didn't shoot the ball well," said Bucks coach Terry Stotts. "We need to do that to be eeffective, but we can do better, and ride it out better than we did in the first half. Second half, we shot the ball better, but when the ball is not falling, we have to tighten it up."

Dwight Howard, who played only the first 2:22 of the Magic's last game thanks to a sprained ankle, returned with a vengeance. The 6-foot-11, second-year forward dominated early and set the tone for a struggling Magic team.

After trailing by as many as 16, the Bucks cut the lead to single digits, 76-67, on an acrobatic Bobby Simmons dunk with 3:28 left in the third quarter.

The teams played to a stalemate for the rest of the quarter and Orlando took a nine-point advantage, 81-72, into the final frame.

An electrifying Ford driving layup made the score 91-83 with 7:58 left, but that would be as close as Milwaukee would come.

Jameer Nelson's long-distance bomb from the right corner extended the Orlando lead to 100-87 with just 2:50 left. Francis then connected with Dwight Howard on an alley-oop with 2:27 remaining to ice things for the Magic.

A 10-0 second quarter run, highlighted by Turkoglu, broke the game open for the Magic. Turkoglu scored seven points in the spurt, which gave Orlando a 47-36 lead.

Orlando then coasted to a 58-44 lead at intermission. Dwight Howard paced the Magic with 15 on 6-of-9 shooting while Magloire netted eight for the Bucks.

Orlando jumped out to an early 34-29 lead after one quarter.
